We are seeking a compassionate, proactive female Support Worker to provide dedicated assistance to a gentleman living with a spinal cord injury. He lives at home with his wife and their friendly dog, so applicants should be comfortable around pets.

This rewarding role is all about helping him live life to the fullest -- supporting independence, daily routines, and community involvement.

Location:

Leicester Forest East, LE9

Roles Available:

Part time - 24 hours / 2 shifts per week

Shift Pattern:



Day Shifts only:

07:00-19:00

Pay Rates:



13.00 per hour weekday day rate

14.00 per hour weekend day rate

1.00 per hour less during probationary period

Role Responsibilities:



Providing respectful personal care and support Assisting with daily living tasks and household duties Accompany and support with community outings and travel to work

Essential:

Preferred:



Previous experience of complex care and/or spinal cord injuries

JOB DESCRIPTION:



Job Purpose:

To support your client with their day-to-day living, promoting their independence and supporting them to live a fulfilled life ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.

Internal and Management:

This role will report to: Registered Manager

Key Duties/Responsibilities for our Support Workers:



Supporting your client to safely lead a fulfilling and more independent life by:

Provide practical support for your client and their family, such as helping with personal care, household tasks and paperwork Assist and encourage your client to engage in everyday home, social, leisure and work activities, according to the individual's choice Support and monitor your client's healthcare needs, including administering medication and other clinical tasks Help your clients to access community facilities and be included in community groups, if they so wish Understand their communication needs and adapt your own communication style accordingly Keep accurate, up to date records of all the care you provide Work positively with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times Participate in learning and development opportunities as required

This is not intended to cover all the responsibilities of the post but to provide some guidance. The post holder will carry out any other duties that are deemed reasonable and appropriate by your Line Manager.



As a term of employment, you may be required to undertake other duties and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required. This forms part of your employment contract.
