About the role

This service in Dafen, Llanelli is the home of 3 social and creative individuals with learning disabilities. They have their Individual passions and personalities and loves to be out in the community and meeting new people. As a Support Worker you will actively support and assist with daily living skills and activities of choice to enable each individual to be as independent in these areas as possible.

Key Duties will Involve:

Providing person-centered support for daily needs, including personal care (showering, bathing, brushing teeth, continence care, etc.). Supporting dietary needs and food preparation. Offering emotional support. Completing cleaning and administrative tasks. Administering and managing medication. Monitoring individual medication stocks and finances. Bringing innovative ideas to improve team practices.

Skills and Experience Needed

A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.

Pay and Pensions

24,531 FTE (12.75 per hour) Sleep-in rate: 62.64 per 8 hour shift - approx. 1 per week. Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am Enhanced DBS which we will pay for Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed Pension Choices: + Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or,
+ Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for every year of service.

Time off and Flexibility

26 days holiday, pro rata entitlement plus Bank holidays. Rising to 27 days after 1 years service or cash equivalent of 1 days' annual leave. Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks Paternity Leave: 3 weeks
