We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for providing care and support to individual with special needs, Autism non verbal.
Duties
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
Providing personal care
Assisting with social activities like swimming
Supporting individual with safety
Engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being.
Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Assisting with heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Driving clients to appointments or social outings as needed.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar environments is highly desirable.
Knowledge of patient care practices including hospice care and senior care principles.
A background in nursing or caregiving is an advantage.
Certification in first aid is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
A valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting clients when necessary.
A caring attitude towards individuals requiring support, with patience and empathy at the forefront of your approach.
