Job Summary



We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and have experience with senior care, Alzheimer's care, and dementia care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal support and assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities



Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document client progress and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or care manager. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life. Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support clients with specific challenges.

Requirements



Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and senior care practices is essential. Certification in first aid is an advantage; training may be provided for suitable candidates. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to meet client requirements. English Test

Skill Set Certificates

: NVQ Level 2 NVQ Level 3 Dementia training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
