The Support Worker is responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals, enabling them to live safely, independently, and with dignity. This role involves offering practical, emotional, and personal support in line with individual care plans.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care support, including washing, dressing, and hygiene.
Assist with daily living activities and promote independence.
Support service users with medication in accordance with care plans and policies.
Provide emotional support, companionship, and reassurance.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding where required.
Monitor and report changes in health or behaviour.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality policies.
Support service users to attend appointments and community activities.
Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and team members.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time management and organisational skills.
Understanding of safeguarding and duty of care.
Flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications required (training provided).
NVQ / Diploma in Health & Social Care (Level 2 or 3) preferred but not essential.
Experience
Previous experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential.
