Summary
As a Support Worker at Spire Squared Supported Living, you will play a vital role in assisting young individuals on their journey to independence. This position involves providing personalised support tailored to each individual's needs, fostering their growth and self-sufficiency.
Responsibilities
Provide compassionate support to young people in daily living activities.
Supporting young people in their day-to-day routines.
Developing and following personalised support plans and risk assessments.
Helping them build independence in budgeting, cooking, and accessing education or work.
Implement behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes.
Maintain accurate records of individual progress and incidents.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive environment.
Encouraging involvement in the community and decision-making about their care.
Working flexibly across various placements, shifts, including sleep-ins and waking nights.
Requirements
Experience working with young people is preferred but a minimum of 1 year in a customer facing role is acceptable.
Enhanced DBS required
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good numeracy, IT, and interpersonal abilities.
Calm and professional under pressure.
Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with young people and professionals.
