The Role



As a Residential Support Worker, you'll play a key part in creating a warm, nurturing, and stable home for a child aged 8-18 with emotional and behavioural needs.

You'll provide care that enables them to feel safe, develop life skills, and reach their full potential whether that's helping with school routines, encouraging hobbies and community activities, or simply being a trusted adult they can rely on.

What You'll Do



Provide high quality, child centred care and emotional support. Build positive, trusting relationships with children. Support daily routines, including school, activities, and appointments. Be a positive role model, encouraging independence and resilience. Keep accurate records and contribute to care planning. Work collaboratively with your team to maintain a safe, homely, and inclusive environment. Safeguard and protect children in line with policies and regulations.

What We're Looking For



A caring, patient, and resilient approach. Experience in children's residential care or a similar setting. Or someone who may not have direct experience, but considers themselves emotionally intelligent, authentic, and able to naturally connect with others Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential). Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. A willingness to learn, reflect, and develop, we'll support you every step of the way. Ability to work a 24-hour rota (including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays).
