Join Our Team: Crisis Support Worker
Location: Liverpool, Merseyside
Salary: 18.00 - 20.00 per hour

You will be supporting children/Young People and families in crisis situations on a 2-1 basis. Helping to support the families to navigate and develop through challenging times.
Work closely with children and their families, educating them through activities, developing physical, emotional care, communication skills and developing social skills to regain access back into the community.
You will be giving a hands-on assessment of the family's needs and identifying the challenges and issues the family face on a day-to-day basis.
Behavioural support prevention of self harm and interventions using PBS at the core of what we do.
Also offering practical advice to the parents/carers to help them develop their skills on how to improve support/care for their child through challenging times. Writing detailed reports and liaising with other professionals.

Desirable skills:

Emotional support - our support workers must have excellent communication skills and be empathetic and compassionate towards our clients and their families when faced with difficulties you should be able to solve problems rather than avoiding.
Managing behaviors - (PSB) Positive Behavioral Support is the core of what we do at Right opportunity in how we manage behavior. It's important for our staff to remain calm and have self-confidence in managing behaviours when implementing (PBS) techniques
Team player - All our staff must have excellent communication skills, respect each other and have a positive attitude, good at problem solving, Listening to each other's views and coming together when making decisions it's important to build positive relationships within the team.
Record keeping - all reports should be clear and accurately written and should be kept secure and confidential at all times.
Key Worker - our key worker's are specially selected staff who will work on each case best suited for our clients. For this you must have excellent communication skills and knowledge of the client you are working with. Communicating clearly and effectively with a range of professionals and teams, children/young people and their families and carers is an intrinsic part of key workers functions as is active listening. You will be expected to take the lead role and make sure all paperwork is completed and filed in a timely manner, update of care plans, dependable, motivated and deal with any issues concerning the client or your team before passing on to management.
