We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role involves supporting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence.
Responsibilities
Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
Assist with medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life and promote social interaction.
Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs
Conduct light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as required, ensuring the safety of both the client and yourself.
Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
Experience
Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, or caregiving and children home is highly desirable.
Experience in childcare may also be considered an asset for those working with families or children in need of support.
