Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals with learning difficulties, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care within our Care Home. The Support Worker will engage with clients to promote independence and enhance their quality of life.

Duties

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist in the provision of care and work as part of a team to achieve required standards. Ensure clients retain their dignity and individuality. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Facilitate social interaction and companionship for clients to reduce feelings of isolation. Be involved in the general activities of the residential bungalows. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. Document care planning needs for clients and complete written daily records and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate Manager or Senior on shift. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Skills

Experience in a care setting is essential. Strong caregiving skills with a focus on empathy and patience. Proficiency in first aid and emergency response techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility challenges. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Pay: 12.21-21.85 per hour
