We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to be a part of our Supportive team based in Southgate, North London.

As a Parent Support Worker, you will provide assistance and support to individuals in need, helping them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Duties:

To promote independence, life skills and informed choices in accordance with each Family's Support Plan, ensuring the following points are included; Support Parents to make informed choices Support Parents to develop and reach their full potential Support Parents surrounding their personal hygiene need

Ensure Parents are treated with respect at all times To provide a safe environment for all activities agreed Ensure accidents and incidents are always reported in line with company policies To take on a key working role for allocated Parents To maintain accurate records, e.g. Support Plans, daily logs, shift hand overs, incident reports, emails, key working sessions, weekly summaries and monthly reports, weekly planners, etc To manage behaviours adhering to strategies and procedures set out for individuals To promote effective communication and relationships with Parents, colleagues and professionals To ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times, in keeping with Data Protection Act 2018 - ensuring that Persons personal details are not disclosed to any unauthorised person and all records are maintained to Data Protection requirements To contribute towards the protection of individuals from abuse To attend any meetings in order to contribute to the effectiveness of the support being delivered To demonstrate understanding and awareness of our Equal Opportunities Policy and be able to put this into practice in a working environment To undertake any training required in order to perform the role more effectively, acknowledging any deficits in knowledge of practice, identifying training needs and formulating training plans with the direction of your line manager and HR To ensure Supervision is participated with every 4 to 6 weeks with your line manager To attend team meetings To work allocated hours flexibly on the team rota over day shifts, evenings, nights and weekends
Qualifications:

- Experience working with both adults and children is preferred

- L3 and above QCF/NVQ/CACHE related course
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy and compassion for others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience and understanding in challenging situations
- Flexibility in schedule to accommodate varying shifts
