We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. Duties
Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
Provide specialised patient care including dementia, Alzheimer's, and hospice care
Support with medication administration following prescribed protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Support with transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or activities
Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a caring environment
Assist with heavy lifting or physical support as required for mobility or transfers
Requirements
Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments is desirable
Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia and Alzheimer's care
Certification or training in first aid is advantageous
Valid driving licence for transportation duties
Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting safely and effectively
Strong communication skills and empathetic nature
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; some roles may involve unsociable hours
