Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team supporting individuals with learning disabilities. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with clients to assist them in daily activities and promote their independence while delivering high-quality care tailored to their specific needs.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Aid in meal preparation and ensure clients receive nutritious meals according to dietary requirements. Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or activities as necessary. Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals, including those for dementia and hospice care. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties as needed. Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare personnel. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.

Skills

No experience needed, full training will be provided Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to prepare meals that cater to individual dietary needs. A valid driver's licence is advantageous for transporting clients when required. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are crucial attributes for success in this role.
