Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing support, advice & guidance to young people aged 16+ within a supported accommodation setting to meet their individuals needs, ensuring a safe, caring, nurturing environment and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a strong commitment to supporting young people within the supported accommodation home.

Responsibilities



Provide support, advice and guidance. Support with medication (if required) as prescribed, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist with behaviour management strategies to support the young person with specific individual needs. Support the young person with appointments or social activities as required. Maintain accurate records, progress and any changes. Foster a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes independence and dignity for all young people. Engage and enable the young people within social activities within the community. Enable and support the young person into Education, Training and or Employment.

Qualifications



Previous experience within s residential and or supported accommodation setting for young people is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices within this setting. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with young people from all backgrounds. Ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour. A valid driving licence is preferred but is not essential. Relevant qualifications in childcare, youth work and other. A genuine passion for helping, supporting young people and making a positive impact on their lives is essential.
