Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. This position is for night shifts working from 20.00 to 0800 with one hour break. The ideal candidate must have proven experience of working in the health care sector and mental health care experience will the advantageous.

The shift pattern for this post will be working Friday, Saturday and Sunday night

There will also be the option of extra shifts working on days if required.

This position is perfect for those who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of others and possess the necessary skills to assist individuals with diverse needs.

Duties

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

Providing personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Supporting individuals to enhance their quality of life Engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and emotional well-being. Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans. completing checks on clients throughout the night Ensuring that domestic duties are completed throughout the night To complete all training as indicated by the registered manager

Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

Previous experience in providing care and mental health care experience is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A compassionate approach towards supporting individuals with varying needs, including those requiring dementia care and mental health care. The ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour. Approved training and experience in the administration of medications is advantageous
