We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients through personalised support, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Experience in senior care, dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, or general caregiving is highly desirable. Duties
Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
Engage clients in activities to stimulate cognitive and physical health
Manage behaviour effectively, especially in cases involving dementia or Alzheimer's care
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Drive clients to appointments or outings as needed, ensuring safe transportation
Respond promptly to emergency situations with first aid if required
Support families and caregivers with relevant information and updates regarding client care
Experience
Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is preferred
Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care
Familiarity with medication administration and basic first aid procedures
Experience in behaviour management and caregiving for individuals with special needs or chronic conditions
Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving transportation of clients
Additional skills such as childcare, heavy lifting, meal preparation, or home support are beneficial but not essential
