About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Westcliff-on-Sea. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and a better quality of life.

?Key Responsibilities

Provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting independence and choice. ?Assist service users with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, dressing, and household tasks ?Support individuals to engage in community activities, educational programmes, and social outings.. Encourage the development of communication, social, and life skills through structured support. Implement care plans and risk assessments, ensuring all support is delivered safely. Monitor and record changes in physical, emotional, or behavioural health and report to senior staff. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for service users Build positive, trusting relationships with service users, their families, and healthcare professionals. Support individuals in managing challenging behaviour using approved techniques and de-escalation strategies. Promote safeguarding principles and report any concerns immediately. Assist service users with accessing appointments, activities, and community resources. Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries at all times.

Requirements

?Previous experience in a care or support role (preferred, but not essential - training can be provided). A caring, patient, and empathetic nature. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.?
