We have an exciting opportunity for a complex support worker to join our dedicated team in Newport. In this role, you will support people to build relationships, try new things,
You'll be working across multiple services, including:
1. Children's Services CCX
Supporting children in respite settings by providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
Promoting independence and confidence in young people by enabling them to try new things and overcome challenges.
Ensuring consistency and clear communication with families and professionals.
2. Adult Services (New Service)
Supporting adults with additional needs in a newly established supported living house.
Delivering person-centred care focused on skill development, including:
o Daily living skills (e.g., meal prep, cleaning, budgeting)
o Community engagement (attending clubs, accessing local facilities, using public transport)
o Medication support and health monitoring.
Promoting social inclusion and helping individuals discover hobbies and interests in their community.
3. CCX Supported Living
Providing two-to-one support to a gentleman living in his own home.
Encouraging and assisting with daily routines, skill-building, and independence.
Supporting with personal care, medication, and accessing the local area.
Building a strong, trusting relationship to enhance wellbeing and autonomy.

What You'll Do
As a Support Worker, you will:
Support people to do the things they enjoy, try new experiences, and live good lives.
Assist with household tasks, shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining routines.
Encourage and support people to strengthen relationships with family, friends, and their community.
Work alongside professionals such as social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure people receive the best support.
Listen to the people you support and support them to make choices about their lives.
