We are looking for

About the Role:
As a support worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of a 31 year old gentleman by providing consistent, person-centred support. Your responsibilities will include:
Daily Living Support
- Assisting with meal preparation, light household tasks, prompting and assisting with medication and promoting independence wherever possible.
Community Access
- Supporting him to access the community safely, whether that be day trips, attending local activities, or exploring opportunities that encourage social inclusion.
Promoting Interests
- Encouraging and engaging with his personal hobbies such as watching movies, gaming, and enjoying food. By taking the time to share these interests it will help to build trust and positive relationships.
Specialist Support
- Understanding and being mindful of his needs relating to his diagnosis', ensuring that communication is clear, calm, and adapted to his individual style.
Professional Standards
- Upholding the policies and values of Positive Steps Care & Support and meeting the expectations of our clients, families, and partner organisations.
Requirements:
We are looking for individuals who are:
Positive, enthusiastic, compassionate, and friendly
, with a genuine passion for supporting others.
Have at least
6 months of experience
in health and social care. Experience with learning disabilities, or mental health is a plus, but we also welcome
transferable skills
and personal experience.
Shifts Available:
We offer a range of flexible shifts working on a 2:1 package, including:
12-hour shifts
: 08:00 - 20:00 or 20:00 - 08:00
