About the Role



We are seeking a compassionate and reliable

Support Worker

to provide person-centred care for a friendly gentleman living in his own home in Perth, who enjoys

art, gardening, photography, and community activities

such as attending the Men's Shed and church. Your support will help him maintain his independence, dignity, and engagement with his local community.

Main Responsibilities



Provide daily personal care including washing, dressing, and hygiene support. Encourage independence and choice in all daily tasks. Assist with meal preparation, ensuring a

balanced and healthy diet

. Support to attend community groups, social activities, and appointments. Prompt and assist with

medication administration

as directed. Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy home environment. Support mobility using a

Zimmer frame

, ensuring safety during transfers. Record daily notes, monitor wellbeing, and escalate any health concerns. Encourage positive mental and emotional wellbeing through structured routines and reassurance. Respect privacy, dignity, and promote Ian's independence at every opportunity.

About You



We're looking for someone who is:

Patient, understanding, and able to communicate clearly and calmly. Reliable, observant, and able to follow detailed care plans. Respectful of personal boundaries and capable of maintaining confidentiality. Able to motivate and engage with individuals who need encouragement to participate in daily living and social activities.

Essential Requirements



Previous care experience preferred (especially with older adults). SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it). Knowledge of infection control, safeguarding, and person-centred care. PVG membership (or willingness to apply). Right to work in the UK.
