We are looking to recruit a part time

Support Worker

on a fixed term contract to work in our 24 hour residential care home and supported living services in Plymouth supporting adults with mental health needs, learning difficulties, autism, and other complex needs.

This is a varied and very interesting role working with adults with a range of complex support needs to complete all tasks of daily living and achieve positive outcomes in all areas of their lives.

Caraston Support is a warm and friendly, family owned company. We offer a wide range of training which includes specialist professional training in a range of topics.

The successful applicants will be required to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and sleep in nights.

The person will be required to provide two satisfactory references and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities and Duties

Actively listen to clients' views, decisions and choices and support clients to make informed choices and decisions about all aspects of their care and support. Support clients to integrate and take an active part in the wider community. Support clients to access employment, education, and leisure opportunities and to take up new interests, make new friends and access community facilities of their choice. Follow and implement support plans enabling our clients to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Enable our clients to carry out their activities of daily living and maximise their independence.

Salary

Entry support worker rate 12.25 rising to 12.45 per hour on completion of a 6 month probationary period. Additional enhanced rate 13.75 per hour rising to 13.95 per hour on completion of probation for weekend hours and overtime.

Sleep in rate

79.50 per night

Unsocial Hours Payments

Saturday's 17.30 hrs to 22.30hrs 1.50/hr

Sunday's 07.30 hrs to 22.30hrs 1.50/hr

Christmas Day 24hrs Double Time

Boxing Day, New Year Day & Easter Sunday 24hrs, New Year's Eve from 22.30hrs - Time and a half

All other Bank Holidays 24hrs 00:00 to 24:00hrs 1.50/hr

Annual leave -

28 days paid holiday (including Bank Holidays)
