The Disability Support Team are looking to appoint Support Workers.

You will be keen to work with students, supporting them to fully participate in all academic activities.



As this role is working alongside students you would be responsible for delivering key administrative processes such as supporting staff and students with ad-hoc queries.

We are looking for candidates who have good administration and people skills.


Key duties include:
Supporting staff and students with ad-hoc queries Supporting students with practical assistance around campus Dealing with email and face-to-face enquiries Timely processing of typed academic notes as part of administration duties. Diary management

The Support Worker role may need a presence on all five of the University of South Wales campuses, Treforest, Glyntaff, Sports Park, Newport, and Cardiff. There may also be a requirement for successful candidates to work online for some of our courses.



Applicants should have their own mobile phone, an excellent standard of written and spoken English, be competent in their use of IT systems, Teams and Microsoft 365. A further education (FE) or higher education (HE) qualification or equivalent is essential and experience of FE/HE environment is desirable.



The majority of work will take place during the academic year, September to June' Work levels are variable, and hours range from between 0 and 20 hours per week depending on the student requirement. Most of the work will be on campus and there may be an element of online working dependent on student timetables and locations. Staff will receive monthly payment upon receipt of a completed timesheet.
