Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care and assistance with daily activities.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Provide companionship and emotional support to clients Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to healthcare professionals Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed

Requirements

Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar environments is preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and senior care practices Background in nursing or caregiving is advantageous First aid certification is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients A valid driving licence is beneficial for transportation duties Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
