We also provide specialist single occupancy services to children and young people who have complex, social, emotional and mental health needs.
We are currently seeking motivated and experienced residential support worker and ensure the highest standards of care, in one of our new, soon to be opened homes in Prestwich in Bury.
Care Services to You Ltd aims to maintain a collaborative approach and is dedicated to employing a team of devoted professionals who are experts in within their roles, and are able to work together to provide support, solutions and great outcomes for children and young people aged 8-17.

The role of residential care worker is to assist the homes in achieving organisational objectives and aims set within the homes Statement of Purpose, whilst keeping in mind the values of the company. Under the direction of the Senior Residential care workers and the homes deputy manager residential care workers are to work together in achieving positive outcomes for all children and young people within the service by delivering the needs of care to the children and young people within the home. On a day-to-day basis, the residential care workers will support all aspects of care and for the children and young including daily routines, support with hobbies and activities, direct work and keywork sessions, along with providing opportunities for the children and young people to develop. Along with providing good quality care, its ensuring all children and young people's needs are met in a fair and appropriate way.
Key Responsibilities:
-To work on a rota basis according to the needs of young people
- Ensuring that each young person's care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs
- Attending to practical matters in relation to childcare (cooking, cleaning etc)
- Keeping accurate records and providing written reports on young people for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings as directed by the line manager
- Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural and educational needs of young people
- Providing support for young people in their education and extracurricular activities
- Empowering young people and facilitating their active involvement in the decision making about their lives and future
- Acting as a role model and demonstrating appropriate pro-social ways of dealing with problems
- Encouraging the young person to develop links with the community, attend off-site activities and expand their personal social network
- Providing emotional support at times of difficulty or stress
- Establishing positive relationships with young people and always offering them unconditional and positive regards
- Helping young people gain self-control by challenging unacceptable behaviour and rewarding acceptable, pro-social conduct. Taking responsibility for a small number of young people and ensuring that their needs are fully met.
- Establishing relationships which young people perceive to be positive, warm and rewarding
- Contributing to team meetings
- Providing advice, assistance and support on a 1:1 basis to enable young people to address past and present difficulties
- Being ambitious for young people, helping them achieve their goals and optimise their potential
- Acting as an advocate at meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion
- Attending childcare reviews and planning meetings where appropriate to provide information and achieve the best outcomes for children young people.
- Undertaking direct work with young people and acting as an appropriate role model
