Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated

Support Worker

to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals who require care and support, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. You will work with a diverse range of clients across assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care settings. Candidates with experience in senior care, hospice, or supporting individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Deliver personal care and support to clients in various settings. Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Administer prescribed medication and monitor for changes in health status. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental, emotional, and social well-being. Implement behavior management strategies tailored to client needs. Maintain accurate care records and report concerns to supervising staff. Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols. Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and heavy lifting when needed. Accompany and transport clients to appointments or social activities.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving or support work (senior care, hospice, or home care preferred). Knowledge of First Aid and CPR (advantageous). Familiarity with Alzheimer's and dementia care practices (preferred). Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport. Patience and understanding when supporting individuals with challenging behaviors. Valid driving licence (preferred) for transportation duties. Flexibility to work various shifts based on client needs.
