About the Role

We are looking for compassionate, reliable and patient Support Workers to provide 1:1 care for a young woman with a learning disability and complex health needs who requires encouragement and gentle prompting with daily living tasks, personal care, meal preparation, and accessing her community.

You will work closely with health and social care professionals to help her maintain a healthy weight, promote her independence, and ensure her safety and wellbeing at home and in the community.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including support with bathing, dressing, and hair care. Offer support and encouragement during meals and snacks to maintain nutrition. Support with medication prompts and attendance at health appointments. Assist with household tasks such as laundry and keeping living areas tidy. Encourage participation in daily activities, crafts, and community outings. Promote independence while ensuring safety at all times. Record and report any changes in health or wellbeing to the supervising team.

About You

Kind, patient and committed to supporting others to reach their full potential. Understanding of learning disabilities or willingness to learn. Able to communicate clearly and adapt to a person's pace and needs. Reliable, trustworthy and professional at all times. Female applicants are preferred due to the nature of personal care.

Essential Requirements

PVG membership or willingness to join. Two satisfactory references. Right to work in the UK. Experience in care desirable but full training will be provided.
