Job Description

Join our established team at Whiteleaf, a busy 5-bedded supported living service for people with mild intellectual disabilities, autism and mental health difficulties.


We support people to live fulfilling and meaningful lives, balancing independence with safety through robust risk assessment and positive, person-centred support.


As a Support Worker, you will follow agreed care and risk plans, using sound judgement to promote choice while managing risk thoughtfully and proportionately.


You will help tenants with daily routines, activities, appointments and community involvement, supporting independence, dignity and a positive living environment. Working closely with colleagues, you will contribute observations to care plan reviews, maintain accurate records, and ensure consistent, safe approaches across shifts.


Full training and ongoing support will be provided, giving you the skills and confidence to make a real difference every day. This is a rewarding role for someone committed to teamwork, compassion and improving peoples lives.

Support Worker Skills and Experience Required



We are looking for Support Workers who bring compassion, commitment and a positive outlook to their work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Kindness, patience and empathy An open-minded approach with a genuine willingness to learn Resilience, energy and the ability to problem-solve effectively A good sense of humour and an enjoyment of working with people The Care Certificate (desirable but not essential, as training can be provided) Previous experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities and/or challenging behaviour (preferred) A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential) Flexibility, reliability and strong written and verbal communication skills

Support Worker Shifts




This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week on a shift basis. You will be required to work a mixture of early and late shifts, including some weekends and bank holidays.


Shift patterns are as follows:

Early:

7:30am 3:00pm

Late:

2:30pm 10:00pm
