Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Brentwood, Essex. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including home care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in need, particularly individuals with specific health conditions such as dementia.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Provide behaviour management strategies to help clients cope with challenging situations. Deliver patient care with empathy and respect, ensuring the comfort and dignity of clients at all times. Support individuals with dementia by implementing tailored care plans that promote engagement and safety Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of clients. Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and guidelines. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of first aid procedures to respond effectively in emergencies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or similar settings is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is advantageous. Strong skills in patient care and the ability to work compassionately with individuals facing various challenges. Experience in dementia care is highly desirable. Proficiency in meal preparation that caters to individual dietary needs. Familiarity with medication administration protocols is beneficial. First aid certification is an asset but can be obtained upon hiring if necessary. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are essential.

Pay: 12.50-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20.00 - 37.5 per week
