We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Support Worker to join a close-knit care team supporting a woman living with a spinal cord injury in the Southampton area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in someone's daily life -- supporting her independence, personal care, and daily living tasks within her home.
She lives with her friendly pet dog and two cats, so applicants should be comfortable around animals.
Please note the client smokes in a separate, well ventilated, room of the house and will therefore need a team member who is tolerant of this.

Roles Available:
Part time - 12-24 hours / 1-2 shifts per week
Full time - 36 hours / 3 shifts per week
Working a mix of days and waking nights
Shift Patterns:
Day Shift: 08:00-20:00
Waking Night Shift: 20:00-08:00
Pay Rates:
14.00 per hour weekday day rate
15.00 per hour waking night rate
15.00 per hour weekend day rate
16.00 per hour weekend waking night rate
1.00 per hour less during probationary period

Job Purpose:
To support your client with their day-to-day living, promoting their independence and supporting them to live a fulfilled life ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Internal and Management:
This role will report to: Registered Manager/Care Manager
Key Duties/Responsibilities for our Support Workers:
Supporting your client to safely lead a fulfilling and more independent life by:
Provide practical support for your client and their family, such as helping with personal care, cooking, household tasks and paperwork
Assist and encourage your client to engage in everyday home, social, leisure and work activities, according to the individual's choice
Support and monitor your client's healthcare needs, including administering medication and other clinical tasks
Help your clients to access community facilities and be included in community groups, if they so wish
Understand their communication needs and adapt your own communication style accordingly
Keep accurate, up to date records of all the care you provide
Work positively with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support
Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
Participate in learning and development opportunities as required
