We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated community Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves working closely with service users in their homes. The Support Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those they care for. A car is essential for this role, we regret that we cannot offer a position to you if you do not drive.
Duties
Assist service users with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Provide companionship and emotional support to service users, fostering a positive environment.
Administer medication as prescribed as per training, Monitor service users for any changes in condition.
Assist with safe manual handling as per Manual handling plan when necessary to ensure service user's safety.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Accompany service users to appointments or social activities as required, PLEASE NOTE that business insurance is required for this.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow individual care plans.
must have availability EVERY other weekend
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with service users and their families.
Experience in home care is advantageous, however training will be provided.
Knowledge of medication administration procedures is essential or the willingness to learn.
A valid driving licence is required for this role as this is a community position.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
