Purpose of Role
To provide high-quality support and care to vulnerable adults, promoting their independence, wellbeing, and dignity while ensuring their individual needs are met in a safe and respectful manner.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred support to adults with varying needs, including mental health issues, learning disabilities, substance misuse, or complex social circumstances.
Support individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, budgeting, and personal care where required.
Encourage and enable service users to engage in meaningful activities, education, training, or employment opportunities.
Assist individuals in accessing healthcare, benefits, housing, and other essential services.
Develop and maintain professional support plans, risk assessments, and case notes in line with organisational policies and confidentiality requirements.
Promote independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion through positive and respectful interactions.
Support individuals in managing their health and wellbeing, including attending appointments and adhering to medication plans if applicable.
Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, incidents, and emergencies, following safeguarding procedures at all times.
Work collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and family members to deliver consistent and effective support.
Uphold health and safety standards and contribute to a safe living environment for all residents.

Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience in a support, care, or community-based role (desirable but not always essential as training is often provided).
Knowledge of safeguarding practices, mental health, and/or learning disabilities is advantageous.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
Basic IT and record-keeping skills.
First Aid and Health & Safety awareness (training may be provided).
Full UK Driving License.
Working Conditions
