About The Role

We are currently looking for

Experienced in Diabetes, Support Workers

to join a new specialist care team for our young client who has an

Acquired Brain Injury

and

Type 1 Diabetes

and is living with her family in the

Staffordshire

area.

Our client has a passion for

conservation

and will be

attending university in September 2026

. She loves

baking

and

travel

and wants to travel to London to visit some nice bakeries and enjoy the

architecture

there. She is

adventurous

and

enjoys keeping fit,

so with the support of you, she can explore new places and taste new food!

She has a pet dog.

Support Worker Duties:

You will be working within an energetic and dedicated team on a rota basis, Monday to Sunday. You will be supporting this young woman in attaining her rehabilitation goals. You must be flexible, enthusiastic, outgoing, have a positive outlook on life, and a caring attitude.

The shift times are as follows:

07:30 - 21:30, Monday to Sunday
An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check

WILL

Rates of Pay

Maximum pay up to 17.50 per hour.

About You

Essential

:

Experience of Diabetes / Insulin delivery pumps is

ESSENTIAL

Good maths skills and reading skills Friendly, approachable and confident Experience and ability to understand and deal with complex needs Flexible in approach to meet the needs of the client Good communication, with clear English Non smoker

Desirable

Experience working with complex care needs and children Registered on the DBS update service
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 17.50 per hour
