Job Title: Support Worker - Supported Living

Hours:

30 hours per week plus 2 sleep-in shifts weekly (7 per month four-week rota)

Pay:

12.31 per hour | 70 per sleep-in (10pm-7am)

About the Role

Choices for Life is a well-established adult social care provider, supporting people across Leicestershire for a number of over twenty years in a day centre setting. We are expanding into Supported Living and are excited to launch our brand-new service in the Leicestershire Coalville area.

This new role is aimed at supporting two people. You will join a friendly team and have the unique opportunity to help shape this new service from the beginning. The position involves working independently as well as in a team, so you should feel confident in lone working while still having the support of an experienced team behind you.

Whether you have previous experience in care or are looking to begin a meaningful new career, we will provide complete training and ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting with daily routines including personal care, medication, cooking, cleaning and shopping

Promoting independence and helping individuals build life skills and self esteem.

Supporting hobbies, routines and community activities

Providing reassurance and structure during times of anxiety or distress

Working overnight sleep-in shifts (10pm-7am)

Keeping accurate records and following individual support plans using our internal electronic recording system

Following an individual Person Centred Positive Behaviour Support Plan and learning about autism

What We're Looking For:

A kind, reliable and compassionate individual

Confident in lone working and using initiative

A manual driving licence is strongly preferred

Experience is welcome but not essential - complete training is provided

Must be able to commit to a regular shift pattern and sleep-in rota (shifts occur from Monday to Sunday, depending on assigned shifts).

Very reliable as this will be a small team of 4 workers

Ability to pick up overtime to cover collegue absences
