Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a strong commitment to supporting clients in various settings, including childcare, home care, assisted living, and nursing homes.

Duties

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behaviour. Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with specific needs. Assist with mobility and transportation for clients to appointments or social activities. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel. Foster a safe and supportive environment that encourages independence and dignity for all clients. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.

Requirements

Previous experience in childcare, home care, or senior care is highly desirable. Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial. Familiarity with medication administration protocols is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A compassionate approach to caregiving with a focus on enhancing client well-being. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Relevant qualifications in nursing or care-related fields would be advantageous but not essential.
