Pay rates:



Rate of pay- 12.21 Nvq level 2- 12.81 Nvq level 3- 13.40

Duties



Assist clients with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Support with medication administration in accordance with prescribed guidelines Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs Facilitate engaging activities to promote mental and physical well-being Provide companionship and emotional support to clients of all ages Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety at all times Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary Manage behaviour effectively, especially in cases involving dementia or behavioural challenges Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to supervisors Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when needed

Requirements



Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is preferred Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care practices is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties First aid certification is beneficial but not essential; training can be provided Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings or weekends if required Basic caregiving skills such as meal preparation and behaviour management are essential
