Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, including those with dementia and other health challenges. This position requires a patient and empathetic approach, as well as the ability to assist with daily living activities and promote the well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with dementia care, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Assist with heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety for both the client and yourself. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring they arrive safely and on time. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to hygiene standards. Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere. Administer first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in patient care or a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively. A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients. Certification or training in first aid is an advantage. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A caring nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality support services.
