If you are a caring individual who is passionate about delivering person centred support and can make a positive impact in the lives of those, we support we would love to hear from you to discuss the opportunities to be a Support Worker within our Supported Living Services in various locations within the Scottish Borders inc. Kelso, Galashiels, Selkirk, Tweedbank, Earlston. As well as our Campus of Care Services and Care Home in Gattonside.
Depending on the service you are deployed to will depend on the responsibilities of your role, you could be involved in some of the following tasks:
supporting individuals living within a shared home with limited /nonverbal communication and, who may present with challenging behaviours and have health care needs requiring a high level of care and support.
administration of medication, PEG care and epilepsy management, personal care, assisting with mobility using appropriate equipment and managing individual's health care needs.
supporting the individuals to engage in daily living activities, supporting with personal care, administering medication, preparing meals, general housekeeping, budget management and support to attend medical appointments
There is a variety of shift patterns available, including waking night cover, evenings only, weekends only etc. Shift patterns will be discussed in more detail during the interview.

To be eligible for this role you will need to have acceptable membership of the PVG scheme, become registered with an appropriate regulatory body within 6 months of the start of your employment and be qualified to at least SVQ Level III or HNC Social Care.

Pay: 12.60-13.45 per hour
