Support Worker - Two positions (SELF EMPLOYED)

POST ONE



Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings 8.00am to 9.30am (negotiable)

Tuesdays and Thursdays 2.30pm-9.30pm

Alternate weekends both Saturday and Sunday 10 - 12-hour shift

Will need to able to provide cover for sickness and holidays and may need to do the occasional 13hr shift during the week.

Bank holidays will need covering by 12 hour shifts

Some sleepovers may be required

POST TWO

(on a two-week rota)

Monday 7.30 to 9.30am and 2.30 to 9.30pm

Alternate Saturdays - 10.5 to 12 hour shift

Monday 7.30 to 9.30am and 2.30 to 9.30pm

One/Two evenings per week - 2.30 to 9.30pm

Bank holidays will need covering by 12 hour shifts

Some sleepovers may be required

Pay



20.00 per hour for mornings

18.00 per hour weekdays

19.00 per hour weekends

Self employed



Driving licence essential as you will drive the client vehicle

To work with a delightful young lady with cerebral palsy and associated complex care needs in her home and the community. She is a wheelchair user and is hoisted for transfers.

She lives with her loving supportive family in a property adapted to meet her needs. You will be working in a family home so will need to be sensitive to the needs and boundaries of the family and support her mum and dad.

We are looking for a professional support worker who can help the young lady achieve her potential. You will need to be enthusiastic and motivated and flexible to cover annual leave and sickness.

There will be therapies to perform and social activities to support with, with an imaginative, exciting and fun approach

To be calm and patient at all times To be able to follow the guidance in the support plan To be able to cover the hours (including working some bank holidays) To have at least 1 years experience Be trustworthy Be punctual Be flexible Ideally be able to administer feed by gastrostomy (PEG) To provide personal care, including showering, dressing and continence care To research and provide leisure activities for the young lady to undertake Respect the family when working in the family home Administer feed by PEG Driving the client's vehicle Undertaking some cleaning of equipment
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
