Overview


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and independence of clients with diverse needs, including those requiring specialised dementia, Alzheimer's, or hospice care. Duties



Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Provide patient care tailored to individual needs, including medication administration and health monitoring Support with meal preparation and feeding as required Manage behaviour and implement care plans for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary Respond promptly to emergency situations using first aid skills when needed Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety at all times Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental wellbeing Document care activities accurately in accordance with organisational procedures

Requirements



Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is highly desirable Knowledge of Learning disabilities, autism and complex needs is desirable but not essential. Relevant skills in caregiving, medication administration, behaviour management, and first aid Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs Valid driving licence for transportation duties is preferred Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings or weekends if required Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to patient care

Pay: 24,420.00-36,547.70 per year
