Job Description

We are looking for experienced support workers to support our client, with complex medical needs, living in the Rugby area. We are seeking, energetic, motivated and organised individuals who are proactive and committed to delivering and maintaining the highest quality of care.

About the client:

Our client is 18-year-old male with Cerebral Palsy, a heart condition, epilepsy and he is nonverbal. He requires hoisting and has a PEG feeding tube in place to provide all necessary nutritional and fluid intake. He needs full assistance of two people for night care for all aspects of his personal care, and to assist with positioning and moving and handling. He is at high risk of aspiration which results in the need for suctioning. Our client lives with his parents and siblings in the family home.

Working Hours:

Two nights a week: 22:00-09:15 on a rota basis

We are also looking for bank staff

Rates of Pay:

Weekday Daytime - 16.00 per hour

Weekday Night - 16.00 per hour

Weekend Daytime - 18.00 per hour

Weekend Night - 18.00 per hour

This Role will Include:

Supporting our client in leading a fulfilling life. Assisting with all activities of daily living Report and record accurately, maintaining excellent communication skills

Requirements:

2 years minimum experience working in care A full driving licence is essential Previous experience working with clients who have brain injuries, epilepsy and cerebral palsy Experience with PEG feeding and moving and handling Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring

Full training will be provided.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
