Role Overview
We are seeking experienced and resilient
male support workers
to join a dedicated care team supporting a young person with complex behavioural needs in a bespoke solo setting. This individual benefits from high staffing ratios and structured, specialist support.
This is a
physically active role
, best suited to those with experience managing behaviours that challenge. Successful applicants will contribute to a dynamic team delivering care in a
daytime and community support structure
. The role will include
NAPPI-based interventions
, so NAPPI training is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver
person-centred support
to a service user with high emotional and behavioural needs
Uphold a structured care plan with consistency and patience
Use approved de-escalation techniques and, when necessary,
physical intervention
, including floor-based holds (NAPPI framework)
Foster a
safe and empowering environment
, especially during transition periods
Maintain clear and detailed
daily records
, escalating safeguarding or behavioural concerns appropriately
Contribute to the wider multi-disciplinary team, including debriefs and handovers
Support outings in the community in a 4:1 ratio as required

What We're Looking For
Male applicants only
(due to the specific nature of the care environment)
NAPPI trained
(essential)
At least
6 months' experience
in behavioural support or complex needs care
Enhanced DBS on the update service
Physically fit and confident in managing escalated behaviours
Reliable, calm under pressure, and passionate about positive outcomes
Must have the
right to work in the UK and be able to work 40 hours per week
Shifts
Full-time hours (typically 40 per week)
Weekend cover required on a rota basis
