We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospice care. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients, promoting their independence while delivering high-quality support.

Duties

Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or reactions. Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Assist clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.

Skills

Proficient in medication administration and understanding of related protocols. Strong background in patient care, with experience in nursing homes or assisted living environments preferred. Knowledge of first aid practices to respond effectively in emergencies. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary requirements while considering individual preferences. Empathy and patience when working with individuals facing various challenges related to health or mobility. Capability to drive safely and responsibly when transporting clients as required.
