We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our CQC registered team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including care homes, nursing homes, and hospice care. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being through personal assistance and companionship.

Responsibilities



Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor any changes in health status. Offer emotional support and companionship to individuals, fostering a positive environment. Engage clients in meaningful activities tailored to their interests and abilities. Support individuals with dementia care, employing appropriate techniques to enhance communication and understanding. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive case management for each individual. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols when necessary.

Experience



Previous experience in a care home, nursing home, or hospice care setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with meal preparation and dietary requirements for individuals with specific needs. Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage. Experience in medication administration is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided. A background in home care or case management is preferred. Certification in first aid is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be arranged for the right candidate.
