Duties

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. Providing patient care to individuals with varying needs, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times. Supporting children in childcare settings by engaging them in activities that promote their development and well-being. Conducting regular checks on clients' health and reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Assisting with heavy lifting when required, ensuring safe practices are followed at all times. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Offering companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.

Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Experience in nursing home or childcare settings is highly desirable. Proficiency in medication administration and patient care techniques. Strong meal preparation skills, catering to dietary requirements as needed. Knowledge of first aid practices to ensure client safety. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. A caring attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients. Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the changing needs of clients.
