Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and care to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a genuine passion for helping others and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behaviour. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or activities when required. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and mental well-being. Support individuals with specific needs, including dementia care, senior care.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Skills in first aid and patient care are highly advantageous. Experience working with vulnerable populations, including those in nursing homes or requiring specialised care, is beneficial. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients. A strong understanding of medication administration protocols is an asset.
