Responsibilities
Provide support in meeting rehabilitation goals alongside treating therapists.
Prompts for personal care.
Support client with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
Assist with medication administration and attend health appointments as required.
Encourage and support clients to engage in community, social, and recreational activities.
Promote independence and support clients in developing life skills.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
Follow individual care and support plans and report any changes or concerns to supervisors.
Uphold dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times.
Person Specification - Essential
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build trusting relationships with client and colleagues.
Flexibility to work shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic IT skills for recording and reporting.
Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices.
Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we do not offer sponsorship).
Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (if role requires travel).
Desirable
Previous experience in a care or support role.
Level 2 or above qualification in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
First Aid training.
Knowledge of person-centred care approaches.
Understanding of specific needs - brain injury.
Understanding rehabilitation for clients with a brain injury.
