Support Worker



I am a 12-year-old non-verbal autistic boy looking for a personal assistant to take me out and about.



I am very happy most of the time and wear my emotions plainly to see.



I am very physically active and love walking.



I love to explore, but don't have a concept of danger, so I need a person who can be the sense of danger for me. This would look like holding my hand and steering me away from things like bodies of water and oncoming traffic.



I really enjoy getting out and about. I'm happiest in nature, green spaces, forests, fields, parks. I also enjoy going to get food, and going to places where I can jump like trampoline parks.



I enjoy shopping in supermarkets, picking out food and scanning shopping.



I like my iPad and looking at pictures and videos.



It would be an advantage if the PA drives and has access to a car with correct insurances to take me to places a little further afield.



It would also be a advantage if the PA is physically active so they can better be able to keep up with me.


Summary of Duties:



Support the individual who is to be supported to access activities they enjoy.



To keep the individual safe when you are with them.



To be able to support in a personal centred way.



To support and maintain independence within the home as well as out in the community.





What will be expected from the Employer



5.6 weeks rota of annual leave per year

Flexible shifts





Days Required: Flexible hours outside of school.



Hours Required: 10 hours per week term time & 15 hours per week during school holidays



Hourly Rate: 13.26
