The Role


Standon is looking to recruit hardworking and caring individuals to join our team. The successful candidates will be primarily caring for people who live in their own apartments on site, meaning you will have one place of work to come to for your entire shift. This is an opportunity to work in a forward thinking and innovative company looking to offer support to people both in their own homes and in residential care. We aim to provide people top quality care in a safe environment that enables them to live as independently as possible and respect their individual wishes. You will need to be able to start some days at 7am and finish on other days as late as 10pm.

Your skills should include



Compassionate - putting the people we care for at the heart of everything we do. Hardworking - be able to work with energy and commitment. Able to work on your own or as part of a team. Trustworthy and reliable - To be consistent in everything you do, including punctuality and low levels of absence. Flexibility - Able to work your fair share mornings, afternoons, weekends, holidays and be able to pick up extra when needed. Previous experience in a caring role is preferred. Resilience - Caring is very rewarding but can be very difficult at times. Good communication skills both verbal and written - building rapport with our clients and their families and accurately record keeping is essential.

Responsibilities



Provide compassionate care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort and safety. Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, personal hygiene and cleaning. Maintain accurate care plans and documentation while adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to address needs and concerns. Support individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia through behavior management and engaging activities. Participate in training and development programs, including NVQ, to enhance care skills.
