Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to patients in both care home and home care settings. Your primary focus will be on assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities



Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Drive patients to appointments or social activities as required. Ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as necessary.

Skills



Proficient in IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation. Experience or knowledge of creating and following care plans is advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive is preferred for transporting patients when needed. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. A compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others.
