Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in both home care and care home settings. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong ability to follow care plans, and the capability to drive to various locations as needed. A background in IT is advantageous for managing care documentation efficiently.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being. Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each client. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to the appropriate personnel. Drive to clients' homes or other facilities as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting for at least 1 year is must. Must have own transportation. Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them accurately is crucial. A valid driving licence is required for this role to facilitate travel between locations. Basic IT skills are beneficial for managing documentation and communication within the healthcare system.
